From hearing aid features to support and care, find answers to common questions about MDHearing.
Will MDHearing work for me?
Every MDHearing hearing aid has been designed by doctors to assist individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss (over 94% of Americans with hearing loss) right out of the box.
We are confident you will love our hearing aids—and our licensed hearing professionals are here to support you and ensure you are comfortable and confident with your hearing aids. Plus, every MDHearing device comes with a 60-day risk-free trial so you have plenty of time to make sure they’re the right fit.
Will the hearing aids fit my ears?
MDHearing hearing aids are designed to fit comfortably and discreetly for most adults. We offer behind-the-ear and in-the-ear options, both of which are small, lightweight, and made to feel secure throughout the day—many people even forget they’re wearing them.
Each device includes components designed to match the natural shape of the ear, helping provide a comfortable fit and clear, natural sound.
If the initial fit isn’t quite right, all of our models can accommodate a variety of sizes and accessories, such as different tips or ear domes. This added flexibility allows our hearing aids to fit a wide range of ear shapes and sizes.
What if they don’t work for me?
You’re covered by our 60-day risk-free trial. If they’re not the right fit, you can return for a refund or exchange for a different model suited better for you—no pressure.
Is MDHearing FDA-registered?
Yes. All of our hearing aids are real, over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids registered with the FDA as class I and class II medical devices. This means they meet FDA requirements for safety and are intended for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss.
What kind of support is offered by MDHearing?
MDHearing provides FREE lifetime support from our team of licensed U.S.-based audiologists and hearing specialists.
Our commitment to your satisfaction extends far beyond your purchase. When you choose MDHearing, you're not only selecting a hearing aid, but a hearing partner that prioritizes your hearing health and provides clinic-level care from the comfort of your home.
From device fitting to troubleshooting and adjustments, our team is just a phone call, text, web chat, or email away. You also have the option to schedule a video chat setup appointment with one of our licensed professionals.
For even more comprehensive care, we offer Care Plans that include annual check-in appointments among other hearing aid essentials such as accessory refreshes and protection for accidents and loss.
Do I need to wear two hearing aids?
The brain processes signals from both ears for improved clarity and balanced sound. If you have hearing loss in both ears, you will be able to hear much better with two hearing aids—and your satisfaction with those hearing aids will be much higher. If you only use one hearing aid, but have hearing loss in both ears, your brain has to process two different sound and clarity levels, which makes the sound signal more difficult to understand.
Are the hearing aids difficult to use?
Not at all. Our hearing aids are designed to be simple and easy to use. You’ll get clear, step-by-step instructions to guide you through setup, and have the option to schedule a free setup appointment with a licensed professional if you’d like one-on-one assistance.
Simple controls on the hearing aids allow you to adjust the volume and settings with the touch of a finger. At any point that you have questions, our licensed support team is here to help.
If you choose one of our Bluetooth-enabled models, the MDHearing app walks you through a simple personalization process and automatically adjusts the hearing aids for your specific hearing. You can also make sound adjustments directly from your phone.
How are MDHearing’s prices so low?
To put it simply: MDHearing is reinventing hearing care.
Traditional brick-and-mortar hearing clinics were previously the only option for Americans to get high-quality hearing aids—which was frustrating, complex, and shockingly expensive. There’s a markup from the manufacturers to the clinics, and then another markup from the hearing clinic to the customer. Buying hearing aids this way also requires multiple visits just to get the devices in hand, and additional appointments for fittings and maintenance.
The reality is, buying from a hearing clinic is simply not possible for customers on a budget.
Knowing how crucial high-quality hearing is, our founder set out to manufacture an affordable hearing solution that could help the majority of hearing loss patients. By removing the middlemen and overhead costs of brick-and-mortar businesses, MDHearing is able to offer high-quality hearing aids with the same level of support offered by hearing clinics—at just a fraction of the cost.
Say goodbye to long wait times and multiple appointments. Say hello to a new era of personalized care, where your hearing health is at the center of everything we do.
